 Reflecting back on my technological goals:

I have learned so much about educational applications and ways to utilize them in my future classroom throughout this course! I believe that I have made great gains throughout the semester, but I still have more discoveries to make before fully meeting my personal technological goals! This semester I have learned about a variety of programs and frameworks including TPACK, available websites on the internet, Google applications, Ted Ed, Edpuzzle, Generative AI, and Nearpod! Before this class, I had only heard of some of these programs and used a few of the Google applications. The majority of these resources were new to me, and to be honest they were a little intimidating. After working with them, I feel more comfortable about utilizing them in my classroom to support student learning! Due to being a preservice teacher I have not gotten to use these tools in a classroom yet, but I can assure you that they will be implemented to enhance my students’ understanding. 

This course has given me more confidence in using different forms of technology.  I often limited myself to what I was comfortable using, but now I am not scared to explore new resources in order to see what is available. This course has allowed me to examine programs that will benefit me as a teacher. I am very grateful for that!

I believe this course has helped prepare me to be an innovative teacher that will incorporate powerful, engaging, and interactive activities for my students. I have learned how to apply technology in multiple ways and will continue to do this throughout my career. Learning these new strategies I can see myself possibly becoming an edtech teacher or working in a technology classroom. 

I will continue to frequently revisit these applications and websites to ensure that no major changes have been made in order to help me remember how beneficial they are. I want to be fluent with the programs and be able to produce technology based lessons that align with the standards. This will help my class to be fun as well as engaging. 

I am thankful this course has changed my view on technology and available educational applications. I now feel more confident about using it and am excited for the opportunity to be able to apply these applications. I realize how much technology impacts our classrooms and world. It will continue to develop and evolve. We must stay current with the trends and understand how technology works in our classroom for it to be useful.

I have always thought that it monitored or tracked what you asked and used your conversations in order to grow its database. TPACK

  What is TPCAK? T echnological P edagogical A nd C ontent K nowledge is a framework that teachers use for effective integration of technology into the classroom. During my research on this topic, I learned that technology classroom tools can be inappropriate in some situations if not utilized properly. TPACK is a useful classroom tool that allows teachers to examine the technology and content they are using. It allows them to see that technology is not appropriate for all students, content lessons, or even in a specific classroom.  Technology can support or sabotage an assignment. It must be used in a proper manner to support a lesson. If not, students will be distracted and lose their focus.
